989 Studio's 3rd installment
of it's Coolboarders series is a fantastic snowboarding game
filled with many different options
Storyline
You are a snowboarder.
Graphics
The trees are horrible, but that's about it. When you first start
playing, a really nice looking intro movie comes up, showing real
footage of awesome tricks. The menus and loading screens look
pretty cool, and the levels do also. The snowboards and the
snowboarders themselves look as good as they need to be for this
game.
Gameplay
Great response, and realistic jumping. Unlike in most snowboarding
games I've played, you will skid and crash going over rocks, and
riding fakie on an alpine board. Though it makes the game tougher,
Coolboarders 3's realism seperates it from most Playstation
snowboarding games. In this game you also have many different
options, including a big list of riders, boards, events, as well
as a few nice levels.
Fun Factor
Crash through trees, and punch your opponents at high speeds!
During events like downhill, Coolboarders 3 will make you yell
out "HELL YES!". Especially when playing two player mode with a
friend. This is by far the funnest game I own.
Overall
Descent graphics, many options, and pure fun make Coolboarders 3 a
top pick of games to buy. It's relatively cheap, too, so buy it
now! If you're a snowboarder, and you own a Playstation, you NEED
this game.
