| What
is the Army Men series? A series with uncommon solders, you
know little plastic soldiers you play when you're a kid, well
that's what this game is….
Storyline:
Sarge, the sergeant, have been captured by the beige soldiers.
You're in jail and you have to escape.
Presentation:
When you start to play this game, you have 3 choices: New
Game, Password or options. No multiplayer, only a campaign
mode. Then you can choose the boy(Sarge) or the girl(Vikki)
and then you see a little briefing of your first mission and
your objectives(a la goldeneye).
Graphics:
Looks like gba graphics, but far from an "impressive
rank". Backgrounds are simple and the switches to activate
doors look like microwaves. Explosion animations are horrible.
Graphics aren't that ugly, they are just too simple for a
gba game. Detailed backgrounds definitely don't contribute
for a great atmosphere.
Sound:
Except music when you start the game, there's no music when
you play, only guns sounds, and they're not good ones. Terrible.
Gameplay:
Easy to learn. A to shoot, B to pitch grenades. So simple,
but do we really need a hard-to-master action game? No.
Fun Factor:
I don't really think you'll come through the 12 missions.
It's just dull and you get bored really fast. And there's
nothing else to do than a campaign mode. Not to mention an
horrible AI.
Overall:
Only 2 good points about this game: easy to learn and a goldeneye
style. Otherwise, this game is boring. Above the average game,
not recommended though.
