Lunar Silver Star Story Complete (LSSSC) was a very enjoyable game for me and many others. I think that Working Designs has great ideas for their games and I think many of their games rank up with Squares. LSCCC overall was very good especially the story line. The main character in this story is a boy named Alex who is looking to follow in the Great Hero Dyne's footsteps and become the Dragon Master. Luna is a young girl with a magic singing voice and is captured by the magic emperor to use this magic for evil. Also helping Alex through his quest is his companion Nall a small flying catlike creature. Though out the game you go in search for all the dragons to receive the different special items needed for becoming the Dragon Master. There are still many other characters you run into throughout the game Jessica, Tempest, Nash, Mia, Kyle, Ramus, Laike, Mel, Ghalion, Lemina, Taben, Royce, Xenobia, Phacia, The Magic Emperor, Myght, and Fresca. Many of these people help Alex though out his quest to save Luna and become the Dragon Master, others get into his way and try to stop him from continuing on his journey. The Story in this game plays out very smoothly and whenever you start to get board there is usually an FMV Sequence, this helps the game to keep player interested. The control in the game is very simple so no problem there. The sound is very good it is enjoyable because sometimes you don't have to bother reading text you get to actually here them talk. Now to the bad part, the game's graphics are not very good, they seem to be only a little better than the one for Sega CD. In my opinion graphics aren't a big part of the game it is the story line I care about and LSSSC story line really makes up for the bad graphics. The game also comes with a making of the game CD that I found to be very interesting you get to see them create story line, music, and all the different parts of the game. Probably the greatest thing about LSSSC is the wonderful soundtrack, you can tell they put a lot into the music it always goes along perfectly with where you are in the game. The battle system is very interesting in Lunar because the higher the level you are, especially with Alex, the more times you hit the enemy when you select attack. Also the magic is very nicely done because of the large variety of spells each person has. A very interesting thing about Lunar is the wonderful packaging it comes in. A nice box with leather bound instruction book and partial strategy guide. Another thing it contains is a making of the movie CD that is very fun to watch. Last a beautiful cloth map of the world. I believe this game is a must own for RPG gamers, it is very good to start on if you are new to RPGs as well. The only truly difficult thing I see about this game is it's mazes especially in Myght's tower, but with help from some of the great guides on the Internet you should have no problem getting through them.
· Overall: 9 · Graphics: 5 · Control: 8 · Music/FX: 10 · Frustration: 5
